Taste of Country’s Taylor Swift Contest Winner Announced

Congratulations to Brooke Hilyer of Douglasville, Ga., who won our flyaway contest to see and meet Taylor Swift! Hilyer will ride in style on a plane to Houston, Texas, where she'll catch the 'Love Story' singer's November 5 show and crash in a hotel room after -- thanks to Taste of Country and Big Machine Records!

"I am ecstatic!" Hilyer tells us, adding that she shared her excitement with her best friend when she got the good news. "I got the email when I was on break at work. I had to read it a few times before it sank in that I had won. I immediately texted my best friend in all caps with a thousand exclamation points."

The Georgia native is a big fan, and spills that she's seen Swift in concert more than once, including a show on the Speak Now Tour when it rolled through Atlanta, Ga. So why does she love the blond singer-songwriter so much?

In Brooke's words: "She is an amazing live performer. All of her shows are so fun and elaborate. I love that she 'acts' out her songs. I can only imagine it being even better the second time around! I'm excited to see if she sings any different songs than she did in Atlanta," she says. "I'd love to hear her sing 'Tim McGraw' since that's the song that started it all."

We hope that the lucky winner gets her wish and gets to hear all of her favorite songs! In addition, she will get to meet Taylor Swift backstage and tell her just how much her music has inspired her. "Not only do I love all of her songs and I love country music, but she is also an amazing person to look up to," Brooke says. "She seems to humble and down to earth. I also love that she writes her own songs. And ... I want her hair."
