Over the weekend, Taylor Swift performed in Lubbock, Texas and Oklahoma City, Okla. The performances, which occurred on Oct. 14 and Oct. 15, were especially memorable since Swift chose to perform the Dixie Chicks' 'Wide Open Spaces' and Rascal Flatts' 'What Hurts the Most.'

When Swift broke into 'Wide Open Spaces' at her concert in Lubbock, Texas on Friday, the crowd erupted in a tidal wave of screams and shouts. The song was a No. 1 hit for the Dixie Chicks -- who are natives of Texas -- back in 1998, and Swift performed an applause-worthy rendition of the mid-tempo tune on her acoustic guitar.

The next night, the 'Enchanted' singer took on the Rascal Flatts song 'What Hurts the Most' at her show in Oklahoma City. Before she broke into song, Swift said, "There's this guy named Joe Don Rooney who's a good friend of mine and he's from Oklahoma and Rascal Flatts have been amazing and wonderful to me." She then encouraged the crowd to sing with her as she strummed on her guitar and performed 'What Hurts the Most.'

Taylor Swift's next show is scheduled for Oct. 20 in San Diego, Calif. We wonder what cover song she'll perform while stationed in Southern Cali!
