Taylor Swift received a surprising and very public musical valentine today, as a new version of her song 'Enchanted' was posted on the Internet for all the world to hear by the song's suspected inspiration, fellow musician Adam Young.

Young -- an electro-pop musician who records under the name Owl City -- and the country superstar crossed paths briefly in the not-so-distant past, and the encounter seems to have had an impact on both of them. Swift, long known for leaving no-so-subtle clues about the personal meaning of her song lyrics, apparently capitalized the letters "A-D-A-M' in the lyrics for her version of 'Enchanted,' which appears on her most recent album, 'Speak Now.' Young writes on his blog about realizing 'Enchanted' was about him:

"It hit me like a freight train. A colorful swirl of memories flashed before my eyes as it all added up. My jaw hit the floor. The track is absolutely gorgeous and I’m so tremendously honored that Taylor would write such an elegant song and thereby offer a gracious nod in my direction. Needless to say, I was lost for words and utterly smitten. I couldn’t stop smiling."

So, he decided to do something about it, recording his own version of the song, and -- just to make things 100% clear -- adding Swift's name to the lyrics. He then posted the track on his website, along with an extremely squishy note: "Everything about you is lovely. You're an immensely charming girl with a beautiful heart and more grace and elegance than I know how to describe."

If you've got a strong stomach or a high threshold for this kinda schmaltz, you can read the rest here. Most of us will probably be pretty satisfied just to listen to the song, which is actually very good -- so here it is. Happy Valentine's Day from Taste of Country!
