Taylor Swift Is the Highest Earning Country Star of 2010

Taylor Swift is not only at the top of her game and headlining her own worldwide tour,  but she has been singled out by Billboard as the top money making country star on the planet for the calendar year of 2010. In 2010, the country star earned the incredible sum of $20,730,431.

The next country act to make the list, Brad Paisley, sits at No. 12; he made $13,955,990. No. 13 was Carrie Underwood, making $13,501,387 in 2010, and Tim McGraw is right on her heels with $13,494,737. No. 16 on the list are Rascal Flatts with $11,958,021.

Billboard makes their list based on how much money an artist makes from touring, digital music sales, record sales, music downloads and music streams.

Not to be left out, Lady Antebellum and Toby Keith both earned over $9 million last year, Brooks and Dunn together made $8.5 million, Reba McEntire and George Strait tied at about $7 million and at No.39 on Billboard's Top Earners List for 2010 are Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush of Sugarland, bringing home more than $4 million total last year.

The top music earner of all is no real surprise: pop star Lady Gaga, who made $30,556,342 last year.
