When Taylor Swift hit St. Louis in August, she performed local rapper Nelly's malleable pop song 'Just a Dream.' Nelly didn't hit the stage with Swift when she was on his turf -- perhaps he was out of town at the time? -- but he did join her onstage to perform the song in Houston, Texas.

Swift and the hip-hopper turned in a dreamy version of the song, playing off one another perfectly while onstage. The song has been popping up quite a bit on the live stage lately, as a contestant performed the tune on 'X Factor' last week, as well. But Swift took the song to an even larger level, as she got her groove on alongside Nelly.

Swift strutted her stuff in a sparkly black dressand knee-high boots as she and Nelly engaged in a lyrical collaboration that they shared with all their fans in the Lone Star State.

We love it when Swift shows hers versatility and flexes her toned musical muscles to perform with hip-hop dudes. She always holds her own with them. She invited rapper T.I. on stage in Atlanta, which is his home turf, last month, and she and Nelly showed us what they've got in terms of live chemistry.

Other pop stars of all genres should realize there is one golden rule when it comes to Taylor Swift's stage: her stage is your stage. As we said before, perhaps all these live collaborationss will lead to some recorded ones. Taylor Swift always keeps us guessing and is full of surprises.
