Taylor Swift takes local culture seriously. When she performed in Canada at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Friday, July 15, Swift took time out of her regularly scheduled programming -- aka her own songs -- to perform a medley of songs by Canadian songwriters.

She started with a bar from Alanis Morissette's 'You Learn' before sailing right into a little snippet of Justin Bieber's 'Baby,' in homage to her BFF Selena Gomez's boyfriend. The crowd sang along in unison, nearly drowning out Swift as she played her acoustic guitar. She then performed high octane songs 'She's So High' by Tal Bachman and 'You Belong With Me.'

While all we see is Swift's back in this first half of this video, the songs are clear and crisp as a bell. What a crowd pleaser Swift is, as she had her adoring fans going absolutely wild with her choice of songs. She then happily hopped into the crowd, surrounded by security, getting even physically closer to the fans that love her so much. We then get to see her onstage, from the front, wearing a lovely purple frock with her hair in a summer-ready ponytail. When she took her bow after closing the medley, Swift looked exhausted, since she sang her heart out. She erased the line between performer and fan with this set of songs!
We're just wondering why Swift didn't add other Canadians like Celine Dion, Drake or Nickelback -- not to mention Shania Twain -- to her medley!
