Taylor Swift may be stepping off the stage (briefly) and into your television screen soon to help fight crime alongside Olivia Benson.

Recently Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay, who plays Benson, sat down for an interview with Entertainment Tonight, and revealed that a cameo may be in the future for Swift.

"We just talked about it," Hargitay dishes. "We're going to wait until the end of the [1989 World] tour to see how it goes. But it’s in the air."

This would be a pretty huge deal for the superstar. After all, Swift did name her cat after Hargitay's fictional character. So if Swift does find time to squeeze in a special appearance on the show, Hargitay and producer Warren Leight have thought of a way to mark the occasion.

"We’re thinking of naming a squad room cat Taylor," Leight jokes.

Swift and Hargitay are no strangers to sharing the screen. In Swift's recent "Bad Blood" music video, Hargitay played the role of "Justice." The two have also strutted down the runway together during the 1989 World Tour stop in Philadelphia.

“The best part of going with Taylor and the girls was that they were so supportive, wonderful and fun," Hargitay says when asked about sharing the stage at the MTV Video Awards with Swift and her “Bad Blood” co-stars. "“It’s a good posse to jump into.”

Swift will continue her trek through the States on her current tour through October, when she will hop across the pond and continue the show internationally.
