Tegan Marie is no stranger to social success. The talented 12-year-old singer does cover videos that reach millions of people and recently, she caught the eye of Florida Georgia Line. She chatted with us at Taste of Country Nights and opened up about their response.

Tegan Marie releases weekly covers of popular songs. She recently did a cover of FGL's "H.O.L.Y.," and it currently has over 14 million views on Facebook alone. It caught the eye of Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley, and she got a flattering response from her friends and family — and FGL!

“Honestly, my friends, my family have been really supportive and every Friday I do a different cover. We didn’t really expect all of this," she says before describing what FGL said. "’H.O.L.Y.’ was just my favorite song so I decided to do my own version — a female version of the song. The response, oh my gosh!” she exclaims.

“Florida Georgia Line, I made them ‘misty eyed’ I guess. Chris Lane commented on my Instagram on my newer cover.”

The 12-year-old admits she has a celebrity crush on the one and only Hunter Hayes, even saying it'd be an honor to do a duet with him, Carrie Underwood, Justin Timberlake or even Taylor Swift.

For now, she's focusing on another big achievement. She'll sing the national anthem for the U.S. women's soccer team before they take off for Rio for the Olympics.
