Singer TG Sheppard has returned home after undergoing a heart procedure on Tuesday (Jan. 13).

Sheppard entered Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville to undergo an ablation to address an irregular heart rhythm. His wife, Kelly Lang, updated fans via Facebook on Wednesday (Jan. 14), letting them know that he was headed home.

“Thank you all so much for all of your prayers! … Whew! It has been a marathon day,” she wrote after Sheppard got out of surgery. “All is well. He is in recovery and doing great. Prayers make such a difference. Praise God.”

As fan well-wishes continued to our in, she added, “Again, thank you all for your uplifting messages. I read them to TG when he’s awake, and they make him smile.”

Sheppard is apparently making a strong recovery. In a press release, he reveals he'll be resuming work soon.

“I’m thankful for the outpouring of support and prayers,” he says. “I look forward to returning to the road next week and resuming with concerts.”
