With the Academy of Country Music Awards less than one month away, it's time for the Band Perry to get out their party clothes to celebrate not only their nomination for Vocal Group of the Year, but the one year anniversary of their very first time taking home an award.

"Last year at the ACM Awards, we got to take home the hardware for New Artist," Kimberly Perry tells Taste of Country. "That was actually the very first award that we won, and it was fan voted, so the ACM’s are very near and dear to us. We kind of felt like they were our good luck charm that got last year rolling in so many ways for us. So to be back this year and be nominated for Vocal Group is a huge honor."

Other than being excited for their award nod at this year's show, set for Sunday, April 1, Kimberly and her brothers -- Neil and Reid Perry -- are also looking forward to being fans at the show when it broadcasts live from Las Vegas. "I just love the performances on the ACMs," notes Kimberly. "We’re fans first and foremost, so we’re most excited to be out in Vegas and hang out with some of our artist friends and industry friends."

The 2012 ACM Awards will air on CBS at 8:00PM ET.
