It's been almost two years since the Band Perry released their debut album. During that time, country music fans have flocked to Kimberly, Reid, and Neil Perry as they've toured the country promoting their songs. If you've been anxiously awaiting new tunes from the siblings, there's good news in store: the popular trio is hard at work on their sophomore album.

Older sister and gorgeous singer Kimberly Perry told Alabama website AL.com that the band has recorded six tracks for the album, and she's excited about their progress.

"We are about half finished," Kimberly said. "We just cut the first six sides this past week, and are just in love with them."

Despite penning three Top 10 hits ('If I Die Young,' 'All Your Life,' and 'You Lie'), the country star siblings aren't trying to replicate any of their previous material. Kimberly told AL.com that she and her brothers have made it their top priority to give every new song an individual touch.

For now, there's no definite release date or name for the Band Perry's next album. The three country stars are busy touring with Brad Paisley and headlining their own tour. Plus, the trio is working hard to campaign for votes to win an award for Group Video of the Year at next week's CMT Awards.

You'll have to wait a little longer for a new Band Perry album, but in the meantime you can catch a glimpse of the group at the CMT Awards, which air live on June 6 at 8PM ET on CMT.
