Pitbull's upcoming television special just got a little more country. The Band Perry have been announced to perform on 'Pitbull's New Year's Revolution,' which marks FOX's first foray into live New Year's Eve specials.

The reigning ACM Vocal Group of the Year received a Grammy nomination for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for their current single, a re-make of Glen Campbell's classic 'Gentle on My Mind,' which appears on the soundtrack to the new documentary 'Glen Campbell: I'll Be Me.' They recently wrapped up their We Are Pioneers World Tour, and are currently working on music for their upcoming third studio album.

The sibling trio won't need coats and scarves for their New Year's Eve gig, since Pitbull's special will not air from New York City.

"We're bringing New Year's Eve down to Miami and giving New York a run for its money," the MC explains to Rolling Stone. "Dick Clark created such an amazing platform -- that's someone that I've idolized, and someone that we will never outdo, but it's an honor to be able to compete with him. That in itself is making history."

The broadcast will feature one other very unique twist.

"I'm very excited. What's better than ringing in the new year on a positive note?" Pitbull notes. "Instead of the ball drop, we'll have the ball going up. Everyone in the world will be partying, enjoying, losing their mind and escaping from all the negativity and problems in the world right now, for at least three-and-a-half hours."

'Pitbull's New Year's Revolution' will air on Dec. 31 on Fox from 8-10PM and 11PM-12:30AM. Check local listing for times in your area.
