The Band Perry, in particular lead singer Kimberly Perry, finds a whole lot of ways to call someone who broke her heart a liar in their new song, the directly titled 'You Lie.' The song is the opening track and third single from their smash hit full-length debut album.

Kimberly and her brothers Neil and Reid are naturally too sunny and melodically gifted to actually sound abrasive or angry in this upbeat, acoustic-guitar anchored anthem. But, it's clear from the confident way Perry belts out the lyrics that this guy's not getting out of the doghouse anytime soon:

"You lie like a priceless Persian rug on a rich man's floor / You lie like a coon dog basking in the sunshine on my porch / You like like a penny in the parking lot at the grocery store / It just comes way too natural to you / The way you lie."

The Band Perry recently told WYRK radio in an interview that they were looking forward to a two-week holiday break, which they will follow with a songwriting session. So perhaps we can expect new music from the popular trio sometime in 2011.
