So far, 2012 has held many firsts for country newcomer Thomas Rhett. Now, he can add one more to the list: playing the Grand Ole Opry! Rhett will take the famed stage on Saturday, May 19, alongside the rest of the star studded lineup for the night, which will include Billy Gilman and Charlie Nagatani.

Fans who will be in the Nashville area on Saturday, May 19 can log onto the Opry’s official website to order tickets for what is sure to be a memorable evening. Those who cannot make the show in person can still check it out online by clicking here.

Things have been picking up in a major way for Thomas Rhett, who just found out he will spend the summer opening up for Toby Keith on his 2012 Live in Overdrive Tour. As he learns the ropes, the young songwriting is also continuing to bloom. On the new Lee Brice album, 'Hard 2 Love,' Rhett co-wrote the track 'Parking Lot Party' along with his pops, Rhett Akins, as well as Luke Laird and Brice.

Rhett's new single, 'Something to Do With My Hands,' is currently climbing the charts. Just last week, he released the new music video for the tune.
