Thomas Rhett kicked off the week with some very good news: "Craving You" is at No. 1 on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase charts. His sultry duet with Maren Morris is also is fastest rising single of his career, making the summit in an impressive 15 weeks.

“I heard this song went No. 1 this morning while I was on vacation with my family," Rhett says in a press release. "It just reminded me how everything about this song has been fun. From having Maren sing on it, to making a really rad video to just feeling the energy from the fans each night when we play it live. It’s an unbelievable way to start out this record. I really can’t wait to share more."

Rhett was scheduled to write with co-writers Julian Bunetta and Dave Barnes on the day "Craving You" was written, but he got sick. When he heard the song they had completely, he knew it was something he wanted to record, and it became the lead-off track from his upcoming third studio album.

"Every song is written for a reason, but it felt like this one was meant for me,” Rhett said previously. "I remember texting Maren and asking if she would sing on the song. She came over and just blew me away. I was amazed at how much her voice fit the song. Having a woman on the song made it twice as craving — a guy and a girl, obsessed with each other. I think that's relatable."

"Craving You" is Rhett's eighth No. 1 single. It follows previous chart topper “Star of the Show.”
