Keifer Thompson, half of fan favorite Thompson Square, has had a rough time with his vocal cords lately, previously canceling four shows due to a very serious vocal condition, much to their dismay. Sometimes, even more drastic measures need to be taken, as the husband-wife duo just announced more shows that have been cancelled.

The 'If I Didn't Have You' hitmakers "regretfully announced" on their website that three more shows have been canceled in Illinois and Missouri. Although Meet & Greet passes will be honored for the future, it doesn't sound like any of these appearances will be re-scheduled, since they've been opening for country favorite Luke Bryan on his Dirt Road Diaries Tour.

Although the duo originally decided to have Thompson stay on vocal rest at all times except for shows, it appears that their rocking shows were still deeply aggravating his vocal chords and it became too much to ignore.

The Vocal Duo of the Year has had a topsy-turvy couple of months, seeing an incredible amount of success in their new record, all the while experiencing frustration as their tour bus was involved in an accident this past winter. Despite their current difficult circumstances, Thompson Square are tough, and they've worked too hard to be bummed out by uncontrollable health issues.

Hopefully rest and time will combine to heal Thompson's vocal cords and in a few weeks, he'll say that he "just feels good." In the meantime, fans can be assured that this time off will continue to fire up the duo for their future shows.
