They are days away from possibly topping the country singles chart with their hit single, 'Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not.' So if Thompson Square leaps from No. 3 to No. 1 on Monday, what will they do to celebrate?

"I'm going to take all my clothes off and run through the streets!" Keifer Thompson tells Taste of Country with laughter. "You can quote me on that! I will be naked on 16th Avenue, running up and down the streets throwing records to all the people!"

'Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not,' penned by David Lee Murphy and Jim Collins, has changed the life of Keifer and his wife, Shawna, in many ways. The tune has been on a steady climb up the singles chart since its release last year, and it has opened many doors for the duo, including landing them a performance on 'The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.' But the thought of having a No. 1 single in the country is still something that is difficult for the two to fathom.

"I don't know what we would do," Keifer says on a serious note. "I'm sure there would be a party of colossal proportions, but yeah ... I can't imagine having a No. 1 song."

If they do hit No. 1, the duo will have another plaque to hang on their wall next to the one they recently received for having 500,000 downloads of the song.

"We've dreamed about having a plaque our whole lives and now we have one," Keifer says. "To have a No. 1 plaque on the wall would be stellar!"
