Fans have been eagerly anticipating new music from Tim McGraw for months, while the singer teased and toyed, posting cryptic clues on Instagram and other social media about the new record. Finally, they have something to hang their hat on. McGraw took some time Tuesday (Oct. 13) to chat with fans live on Facebook before exclusively releasing his "Damn Country Music" music video on his page.

The song is the title track to the upcoming record, due out Nov. 6. The video, shot in black and white, features McGraw and other members of the Shotgun Rider Tour (that's sweet VIP Coordinator Jamie Stephens in the sunglasses) wearing T-shirts showing off lyrics from the tune as they go about their backstage duties. Some lucky fans even got to sport some of the words across their chests. (Many of the lyric tees are available for sale, and fans will also have an opportunity to win the actual shirts worn in the video, signed by McGraw, by sharing the video.)

McGraw says the tune is representative of the full album to come, as well as his long career in the country business thus far.

“When I recorded Damn Country Music, it was one of those electric moments. It speaks to a passion and being at a crossroads in your life when you make that decision to pursue it knowing you might pay a heavy price,” he dishes in a news release.

Before the video’s release, McGraw answered some fan questions live, talking about touring and the songs he loves to play, including his favorite cover right now, Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer.” He also spilled his all-time favorite song.

“My favorite song of all time is 'I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry,’ but the Hank Williams version. My second favorite, probably, it’s hard to pick a favorite, is ‘I Never Go Around Mirrors’ by Keith Whitley,” McGraw reveals.

The singer also shared his favorite song from the upcoming record: “Humble and Kind.” “It’s a good song and a great message,” he says.

Fans can download “Damn Country Music” immediately when they preorder the record on Apple Music here.
