Tim McGraw, Faith Hill Postpone Atlanta Date of Soul2Soul Tour for NBA Playoffs
McGraw and Hill were set to perform at the Philips Arena in Atlanta on Saturday (April 22), but as the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports, the Atlanta Hawks are now in the NBA playoffs, and they’re scheduled to face off against the Charlotte Hornets in Game 3 of their first-round Eastern Conference playoff series on Saturday night, pushing the concert back to Sunday (April 23). Tickets purchased for Saturday night will all be honored Sunday night.
The 2017 Soul2Soul Tour marks the first time Hill has toured in a decade, though she did play a residency alongside McGraw in Vegas. The couple recently both signed new deals with Sony, and they have announced the upcoming release of their first-ever joint album, about which few details have been revealed. They debuted the first single from that project, “Speak to a Girl,” in a dynamic performance at the 2017 ACM Awards on April 2.
They launched the new tour in New Orleans on April 7, and they’ve already made a number of special memories for themselves and fans, including a gender reveal on opening night and a touching backstage moment in Tupelo, Miss., where Hill sang an impromptu duet of her hit “Mississippi Girl” with a young female fan.
