The ever charitable Tim McGraw is teaming up with Outback Steakhouse to support our men and women in uniform by helping to kick off Outback's yearly Thanks for Giving event.

Now through April 5, when you order from their Red, White and Bloomin' special menu, they will donate 5% of the sales to the charity Operation Homefront. The country star says he could not be prouder to be involved with the "fine folks" at Outback.

Operation Homefront is a non-profit group that gives financial assistance and more to families of our troops and to wounded soldiers.

The 'I Like It, I Love It' singer tells CNN that it was important for him to get involved with this program. He says, "I love my country, you know, and I appreciate the sacrifice the troops make when they have to leave their families behind and go overseas and put their lives on the line for me and my family." He adds, "It's just a perfect opportunity for me to take this platform that I'm on with music and the position it's put me in to help those families and help those soldiers feel secure about their families being taken care of."
