Toby Keith’s ‘Lucky 13′ Golf Tournament Benefit Set for June
Toby Keith has announced that his 13th annual Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic will take place June 3-4, 2016, benefitting the Toby Keith Foundation-funded and operated OK Kids Korral. The facility provides a cost-free home-away-from-home for children battling cancer and their families to stay while the children are being treated at the Oklahoma University Medical Center.
In addition to the golf tournament, the event Keith is calling “Lucky 13” will also feature surprise musical performances and a live auction during the opening Denim and Diamonds gala, with impressive items up for grabs, including a week for five couples at Keith’s Cabo beach house. Silent auction items will also be available for bidding, including signed memorabilia from Willie Nelson, Eli Manning, Tiger Woods, Brett Favre and others; concert tickets for Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, George Lopez and Jimmy Buffett; tickets to the 2017 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am tournament; and Apple Watches.
“This event and our USO Tours are the best things we get to do all year,” Keith says of last year’s tournament. “I’ve been blessed with healthy kids, and I’m more than blessed to bring a bunch of folks together who want to help folks who haven’t. The great time we have — and we do have one, now — is a far distant second to making a difference for kids and families right here where we live.”
More information about the event can be found at the foundation’s website.
Keith is gearing up for his 2016 Interstates & Tailgates Tour, which will feature Eric Paslay as the opener. The tour officially kicks off May 21, with the bulk of the shows launching after its stop in Holmdel, N.J. June 18.
