The race for the top song of April 2015 is as close as any in the history of the ToC Top 40 list. Songs at the top of the chart are selling well, and the ToC staff loves them. There's little to separate No. 1 from No. 2, but in the end, it's hard to deny one hit's longevity.

Sam Hunt's "Take Your Time" is the top song for a second straight month, besting "Homegrown" by the Zac Brown Band and "Little Red Wagon" by Miranda Lambert. Lee Brice's "Drinking Class" takes a nice leap in April, and Little Big Town's "Girl Crush" rockets from No. 19 in March to No. 5 this month.

Look for debuts from Blake Shelton and Chase Rice — the "Gonna Wanna Tonight" singer actually has two songs on the April Top 40. As some songs fall from the charts, others are there to fill in the gaps. As always, sound off about where this list gets it right and wrong in the comments section below.
