There isn't any snow in sight, but that's not stopping Trace Adkins from getting into the holiday spirit. The big singer (literally) has announced double-whammy of Christmas goodies, including an album and a holiday tour.

Adkins will release 'The King's Gift,' his first-ever Christmas album, on Oct. 29. The record is comprised of Celtic carols and pays tribute to the ancient genre, transporting the listener to a time of mystery, valor and honor. 'The King's Gift' will marry the sounds of American folk music (keyboards, acoustic, steel and bass guitars) with the beautiful instrumentation of weissenborn, mandolin, uilleann pipe, penny whistle, violin, viola, cello, harp and organ. Adkins is beyond enthusiastic about the release, even saying he's more proud of it than anything else he's done.

'The King's Gift' will have many exciting special guests, including renowned Irish ensemble, the Chieftains; Scottish vocalist Alyth McCormack, British folk/pop star Emma Stevens, multi-award winning family group, the Isaacs, Kevin Costner and daughter Lily Costner and legendary drummer Kenny Aronoff.

After the album's release, the Grammy-nominated singer will embark on the 2013 Christmas Show Tour beginning in November. This begins a new Adkins holiday tradition, and it sounds like it will be the perfect holiday outing for families. The Christmas Show is a theatrical production, and Adkins will alternate between fireside storytelling of anecdotes (both personal and historical) and performances of classic carols with a 12 piece ensemble -- a quartet string section, female vocalists and a range of traditional instruments.

Adkins will travel to theaters across the country with his ensemble from Nov. 15 to Dec. 18. Website presale and VIP tickets are available now on Adkins' website. All tickets will go on sale Sept. 13.
