Trace Adkins – Then and Now

This ‘Then’ picture is indicative of how Trace Adkins dressed early in his career. In many pictures from awards shows, Adkins is seen wearing a vest and ascot beneath his loose-fitting tuxedo. He’d yet to grow the blonde goatee fans expect to see on him in 2012, and he seemed to smile a lot more in the late ’90s.

Now, Adkins has abandoned his early 20th century gentleman duds for something more sleek and modern. He kept the hat, though. We can’t say for sure that he’s wearing the same stiff-brimmed cowboy hat nearly 15 years later, but it’s the same style. It looked good then, and it looks good now, so why not?

We wonder what he did with that ascot!
