In a recent interview with KMPS, deep-voiced singer Trace Adkins talked about a myriad of topics, from his new single, 'Brown Chicken Brown Cow' -- which is accompanied by a puppet-filled video -- to acting, which Adkins refers to as his "other gig." The singer and part-time actor also gave a nod to 'Country Strong' star Tim McGraw for his acting skills.

Adkins expanded on his role in 'The Lincoln Lawyer,' starring Matthew McConaughey, which is out Mar. 18. In the film, McConaughey plays a lawyer that keeps Adkins, the leader of a motorcycle gang, out of trouble. Talking about his co-star McConaughey, Adkins jokes, "I never saw him without a shirt on -- I think that's been blown out of proportion."

Adkins also gave fellow country singer and actor Tim McGraw props in a diplomatic way when asked who was the better thespian. "Uh, well, Tim, of course, has had a lot more experience and has a lot more credibility," Adkins says. "So I'll tip my hat to him, sure."

Adkins also acknowledges that "some get it, some don't" about the meaning behind 'Brown Chicken Brown Cow.' He laughed when it was mentioned that the puppet version of Adkins in the video is only slightly less intimidating than the real thing. Ah, it's just a puppet!
