Two of country's biggest — literally — male vocalists will compete to decide who is the best of 2016. After two weeks of voting, only Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins remain on the mens side of this month-long competition to decide the overall best vocalist of the year.

Adkins made easy work of Brett Eldredge, just like he did Randy Houser in Round 1. The "Jesus and Jones" singer took nearly 80 percent of the vote in Round 2, making him a favorite to reach the finals next week. Adkins' fans consistently prove they're among the most active in country music. Through his ups and downs, they've always stood proudly behind him.

Shelton's fans had to work a little bit harder than Adkins'. The "Came Here to Forget" singer nabbed 55 percent of the vote against Chris Young, but he took down one of the favorites to win this competition. It was an impressive showing for a man who has been one of the top singer's in country music for so long you almost forget about him.

Sixteen singers were chosen from today's most active male and female vocalists for this fan-voted competition. Vote up to once every hour in this semi-final round between two extraordinary country voices. This round ends at 11:59PM ET on March 27, 2016. The winner will move on to face either Reba McEntire or Carrie Underwood in the finals. The overall Top Vocalist of 2016 will be named on April 4.
