Trace Adkins Faces a Shootout in New Clip From ‘Wyatt Earp’s Revenge’
Trace Adkins has made his share of video and television appearances. The 'You're Gonna Miss This' singer recently said that he'd like to costar in a film with fellow country talent Blake Shelton. And while we haven't yet had the opportunity of seeing Shelton on the big screen, the Boot just released a new clip of the most recent Trace Adkins film, 'Wyatt Earp's Revenge,' which you can view below.
The movie, which debuted on DVD on March 6, features Adkins starring alongside Shawn Roberts ('X-Men,' 'Diary of the Dead'), who plays the young Wyatt Earp. In the clip below, the two are in a classic gunfight. Adkins takes on the role of Milflin Kenedy, who becomes an enemy of Earp (played by Val Kilmer) when his son kills Earp's first love, Dora (played by Diana DeGarmo). Based on a true story, the film tells the story of how Wyatt Earp became a legendary lawman.
"I like being put in situations where I'm out of my comfort zone: something that challenges me," Adkins says of his role in the film. "Acting certainly does that. I get a kick out of it ... from being afraid that people are going to discover that you have no idea what you're doing. It's always exhilarating."
Adkins has made appearances on television shows like 'The Young and The Restless' and 'The Celebrity Apprentice,' as well as in a variety of films, including the 2008 movie 'An American Carol' and the 2011 film 'The Lincoln Lawyer.' He is currently on his Song and Stories 2012 Tour.
