Trisha Yearwood shared some emotional family news with her fans this week. The star singer is currently dealing with the loss of her Uncle Wilson, who passed on Monday (Nov. 11).

Yearwood seemed close to her uncle and would often mention him on her cooking show, 'Trisha's Southern Cooking...'

"For those of you who have kept up with my awesome Uncle Wilson through Trisha's Southern Kitchen, I want to let you know that he passed away on Monday, November 11th," the singer writes on her Facebook page.

She had only great things to say about her uncle in the post. "He was easy to love. I know you all felt like you knew him ... he made everybody feel that way," she shares. "He was a wonderful son, father, husband, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. I love you, Uncle Wilson. We all do."

Yearwood is using her Facebook page to celebrate the life of her uncle by posting photos of him, like the one below. The sad news comes just two weeks after the death of husband Garth Brooks' half-sister, Betsy Smittle, on Nov. 2.

Our thoughts are with both singers as they mourn the loss of their beloved family members.
