Newcomer Ty Stone is gearing up to set sail with Kid Rock on his sold-out Chillin’ the Most cruise today. The 2011 cruise is the second time Kid has held the special event with his musical friends.

"I attended the cruise last year, and it was the best party I’ve ever been involved with," Stone tells Taste of Country. "I’m sure it will be the same way this year. There will be all of these cool bands and musicians there, and I’ll be able to roam around with all of these cool fans. Everyone is stuck on the boat, so it’s a great opportunity to hang out with everyone. Everyone has a good time together. We all stop at islands and pile onto a beach, party, and then we pile back onto the boat. You couldn’t ask for a better time."

Stone just wrapped the Born Free Tour with Kid Rock and Jamey Johnson, which ran from January through March. The rocker has been a huge mentor for Stone, who discovered the young singer after being slipped his demo in Detroit at a Piston's game. Kid contacted Stone, and flew him out to his Detroit home where he took the singer under his wing and signed him to his record label.

"After being on tour with Kid Rock and Jamey Johnson, what I probably need is some rest and relaxation," Stone adds. "From having been a part of the cruise last year, I know that’s not what I’m going to get, but I’m not complaining because I know we’re going to have a blast!"

The Chillin' the Most cruise sets sale today, April 7 as the fans, crew and celebrities make their way to Cozumel. Stone's debut single, 'American Style,' which was produced by Kid Rock, is scheduled to impact radio this spring.
