Tyler Farr is recovering from a bit of a beating he took falling off a stage in Virginia on Aug. 12. While the singer was performing the Foo Fighters’ hit “My Hero,” he strode toward the crowd, but took a misstep, slipping off the edge of the stage and landing on what looks like a large speaker cabinet in front of the audience. Farr recovered quickly and was able to continue singing without a flinch (mostly), but he's got the bruises to prove it hurt.

Days later, the “Withdrawals” singer shared photos on Twitter of his wounded leg at various stages of the recovery process.

Though the injury looks like it may be getting worse before it gets better, Farr seems to be taking it in stride. The artist reportedly encouraged fans to put the tumble on YouTube when it happened and has been using the tongue-in-cheek hashtag #tylerfall.

This is not the first time this summer Farr has fallen off an elevated structure, though the original incident was a little more intentional. The singer was with Jerrod Niemann for the Boots on the Beach event in Jamaica earlier this summer, when Farr decided to try to break in to Niemann’s second floor hotel room … from the outside. Unfortunately, the balcony was not made for breaking and entering, and Farr plummeted to the ground, amazingly without serious injury.

Farr has been busy not only playing at festivals this summer, but also checking out wedding venues and food for his big day. The singer got engaged to fiancée Hannah Freeman in May at Nashville’s “Mother Church,” the Ryman Auditorium, and says they plan to tie the knot at a small ceremony in Tennessee in October. He should be all healed up by then.
