Wednesday night (Dec. 2) was supposed to be a celebration for Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley, as the duo were nominated at this year's CMT Artists of the Year. Unfortunately for Hubbard, he was at home sick, with an IV in after a bad reaction to shots.

"My heart is pounding, man," Kelley said during his acceptance speech. "I know if Tyler was here right next to me right now, his heart would be pounding, too. He’s at home."

"His wife and him are heading to Africa in January to do some charitable work, and he had had a bad reaction to some shots," the FGL singer explained. "He’s a little under the weather. Not feeling well at all."

Of course, Hubbard was watching along at home — though he admits he was facing some serious FOMO (Fear of Missing Out).

"Tonight is a rough night to have FOMO (fear of missing out) cause I know #cmtaoty is a good time with great folks. @thomasrhettakins thanks for crushing dirt and making me want to go take voice lessons and thanks @playbkplay and @bcole429 for representing so well and being an inspiration," he posted on Instagram. "It's back to Motrin and a hydration IV for hayley and I."

Earlier in the week, Hubbard posted another photo of he and his wife in bed with the caption, "In sickness and in health."

Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Sam Hunt and Little Big Town were also honored at the 2015 CMT Artists of the Year event in Nashville.
