Nearly two dozen artists played Kris Kristofferson's most well-known hits during the Life and Songs of Kris Kristofferson concert in Nashville. The famous songwriter joined a few to lend a hand, but mostly it was a night full of memorable Kristofferson covers.

These are seven of the most unforgettable from that March 16, 2016 show in Nashville. Reba McEntire, Lady Antebellum, Emmylou Harris, Eric Church, Hank Williams Jr., Willie Nelson and the "new" Highwaymen all make the list. For nearly three hours a steady stream of current country hitmakers and legends came to the stage to perform songs personal to them, also finding the Hall of Famer for a hug.

Kristofferson's most well-known hits include "Sunday Morning Coming Down," "Me and Bobby McGee," "The Pilgrim, Chapter 33" and "Help Me Make It Through the Night." Stars not featured in this video include Jennifer Nettles, Jack Ingram, Dierks Bentley, Rosanne Cash and Lee Ann Womack.

Darius Rucker is another artist with a memorable performance.

If this concert comes to television, tune it to see a night that defines why Nashville is so great. A new Unforgettable Country Moments video comes every Tuesday.
