Not only has Vince Gill announced a new album due out next month, but he will be also inducted into Guitar Center‘s RockWalk.

On Feb. 4, Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh will introduce Gill at the private ceremony in Hollywood, Calif., at Guitar Center’s Sunset Blvd. location. Gill’s handprints will be placed alongside previous honorees on Hollywood Boulevard, including Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Carlos Santana, Johnny Cash, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, B.B. King and Stevie Wonder, among others.

“It is an absolute honor to be chosen by my peers to be inducted into Guitar Center’s RockWalk,” Gill says in a press release. “I’ve always been grateful to be able to spend my life doing what I love to do, and to be recognized in such a monumental way – cemented next to the legendary artists reflected on the RockWalk — is a moment I could never have imagined when I picked up that very first guitar.”

In November, Gill announced his new album Down to My Last Bad Habit will be released on Feb. 12. The 12-song record was written/co-written and co-produced by Gill, who is also a featured musician on all 12 of the tracks. The album includes features from Little Big Town and Cam.

“Forty years into this, it’s still as much fun as it’s ever been to play music,” Gill says. “At the end of the day, what I get excited about is doing something I haven’t done before. When I record a song, I feel successful if I’ve accomplished something new.”
