Blake Shelton will return as host with emcee newcomer Luke Bryan by his side, but when exactly will the 2013 ACM Awards air?

The 48th annual ceremony will be televised live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 7. The event returns to Sin City for the tenth consecutive year to celebrate the biggest and brightest stars in country music.

It has been announced that the 2014 show will also be held in Las Vegas, but the show will celebrate its 50th birthday with a new home in Dallas, Texas in 2015.

Reba McEntire has hosted the ACM Awards more than a dozen times since first emceeing the annual event in 1999, but the music legend passed the torch to former co-host Shelton this year, who will -- in turn -- give Bryan some pointers as the newcomer to the coveted gig.

“No. [I’ve] passed the torch to Blake. I’m a huge Blake Shelton fan,” McEntire says of her departure.

Fan can tune in on April 7 at 8PM ET/delayed PT on CBS to witness one of the biggest nights in country music -- the 2013 ACM Awards -- unfold.
