Whiskey Myers toppled Brandon Rhyder in last week's Taste of Country Texas Red Dirt Rumble, stealing 60 percent of the votes to come out as the Texas act with the favorite song of the week. Now, it's time for the band to put their money where their mouth is and take on a new challenger: fellow Lone Star songster Granger Smith.

Whiskey Myers' 'Ballad of a Southern Man’ is a song that only a lucky few can relate to. The song sings the praises of living below the Mason Dixon Line, putting country life on a pedestal above big city living, just how the WM were born and raised. For the band, being country is not just where you're from, it's how you live your life -- drinking from mason jars, fishing in no-name creeks and working for everything you've got, with pride.

Granger Smith's brand-new single, on the other hand, is not exactly what it seems. 'Letters to London' isn't about sending messages over the pond, but rather the sad tale of fading memories and lost love, which is something that anyone with a broken heart can relate to. Smith isn't shy as he sings about the relationship that was tarnished by bad choices, which have since turned to regret in the absence of his girl. As he sits writing late at night, he thinks of how her kiss and her touch are haunting him -- a feeling he can't seem to shake.

If you're the type of country music fan that's tied to one place and proud of where you came from, Whiskey Myers' catchy single 'Ballad of a Southern Man' is undoubtedly for you. But if you've ever known the pain of a broken heart, perhaps Granger Smith's sweet-and-salty tune 'Letters to London' is more up your alley.

Listen to both songs below and decide which is your favorite, but hurry, because you only have until Midnight CT on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012 to vote. Be sure to share the link with your music-lovin' friends, too, so they can have a say. After the winner of this week’s Rumble is chosen, a new match will start up, pitting the winner against a brand-new challenger.

Rules of the Rumble: The artist and song with the most votes wins, and winner goes on to face next week’s challenger. If an artist wins four weeks in a row, he or she will be retired into the Taste of Country Texas Red Dirt Rumble Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete.
