Shania Twain's upcoming reality show, 'Why Not? with Shania Twain,' will premiere on Sunday, May 8 at 11PM ET. That night, it will follow the finale of 'The Judds,' and beginning on May 15, Twain's time slot will be Sundays at 10PM ET.

The usually private country star goes deep in her new television outing, talking about everything from losing her ability to sing to the affair that ended her 14-year-marriage to music producer "Mutt" Lange. Twain says, "First I found out that my marriage was over, and then the next day I found out about the affair. It was a real death. I really lost my sense of trust, compassion and honesty."

Twain says her life now is about coming to terms with both her past and her future as a singer. She explains, "I lost my ability to express myself and my ability to sing. I've lost it. For some reason I'm not comfortable singing in front of people anymore." She says the bigger her career got, the more she felt the pressure to be better and better all the time, making her slowly lose her confidence.

Twain is learning to be inspired by other people with this new show, as she is hearing from others who have had deep life struggles, too. "Life's two most important questions are 'why' and 'why not,'" Twain shares. "The trick is knowing which one to ask."

'Why Not? with Shania Twain' aires on Sunday, May 8 on the OWN network. Guests on the series will include Lionel Richie, Gladys Knight and music producer David Foster.
