Willie Nelson, male model?

While the singer, 80, is known for his signature braids and bandana, he is stepping his fashion resume -- though he did once appear in a GAP ad -- up a notch. Nelson appears John Varvatos campaign for the high-end men's fashion line's upcoming fall and winter seasons. The campaign is simply dubbed: 'Willie Nelson and Sons.'

The star appears with his offspring: Lukas, 24, and Micah, 23. They are a couple of sharp-dressed men -- who knew Willie Nelson cleaned up so nice?

"His clothes look and feel good on your skin and are made for every man — and his sons,” Nelson said, speaking of why he likes Varvatos' wares.

The designer himself was equally complimentary of the country music legend, saying, "In all the iconic music ad campaigns we have shot over the last eight years, I have never been so moved as I was working with Willie Nelson and his sons."

Adds Varvatos, "Willie is a true American icon, and it runs deep in the bloodline."

We couldn't agree more. The print ads will appear in mags like GQ, Esquire, Vanity Fair and more, while billboards will be placed in Los Angeles, Miami and other cities.

Check out the short film below, where Nelson discusses his dislike of barber shops (no, really?!) and his sons talk about growing up with music in their household and having cool uncles. The clip gives you a sense of each man's personal sense of style and love of music.
