This is what we call a match made in hell! Deadline.com reports that Willie Nelson is attached to star in 'Mustache Riders' alongside 'Jackass' crew members Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera and Ryan Dunn.

Paramount nabbed the project in 2008 and it has been in development ever since. The plot reportedly centers on three small-time crooks on the hunt for buried treasure. A grizzled outlaw, presumably to be played by Nelson, rides sidecar with the trio on their adventures.

The script is currently being reworked so that the Knoxville, Margera and Dunn can perform all of their own stunts, just like they do in 'Jackass.'  ( Speaking of which, the third installment of that highly successful movie series hits stores next Tuesday, March 8. ) No word on what type of stunts Nelson would be required to perform, if any.

'Mustache Riders' is not Nelson's first foray into film. The pro-pot singer has appeared in a laundry list of movies and boasts an impressive and extensive Hollywood resume, including parts in 'Half Baked,' 'Dukes of Hazzard,' 'Outlaw Justice' and 'Wag the Dog.'
