Wynonna Judd's next great challenge has ended prematurely. The country legend and her professional dance partner Tony Dovolani were eliminated from 'Dancing With the Stars' on Tuesday night (April 2) after their Samba received the night's lowest scores on Monday. The dancer with the lowest total of fan votes and judges scores is sent home each week.

Judd and Dovolani joined Andy Dick and Sharna Burgess in the bottom two. Early in the live broadcast, Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough learned they were safe, which wasn't surprising after their impressive Jive on Monday. They had the highest score of the night.

The results make Judd the first star to be officially eliminated after Dorothy Hamill left the show voluntarily last week due to injury. Ten couples remain in the dancing competition. Jacoby Jones and his partner Karina Smirnoff and Zendaya and Val Chmerkovskly join Pickler and Hough as favorites for the win.

Judd hadn't commented on being eliminated on Twitter at press time, but the singer was visibly disappointed upon learning her fate. She's kept an open conversation with fans and followers since the show began. "Wanted to stop & take a moment during this crazy, hectic day to say "THANK YOU" for all your support these last few weeks," she said during a series of tweets Tuesday afternoon. "I'm feeling loved today & that is what really matters to me along this journey."

She added, "I couldn't do it without you. I know that now, more than ever."
