When Zach Seabaugh stepped on stage on The Voice Tuesday night (Nov. 10), no one expected the kind of explosive performance they were about to receive. The 17-year-old high school student and country crooner chose to perform Steve Holy’s “Brand New Girlfriend."

Coach Blake Shelton complimented Seabaugh during rehearsals, noting he wished he had the kind of smooth baritone Seabaugh does. He encouraged the young artist to take his time with the shuffle style of the tune.

Seabaugh started the Live Playoffs performance brimming with confidence, which carried through the entire song. His deep voice glided over the notes as he wooed the females in the audience on the slower beginning of the tune, then kicked it into high gear for the up section.

The singer was fearless in his delivery, even including a few Elvis-style pelvic thrusts and retro dance moves. All four judges were blown away.

“It’s a dangerous thing to try to do all that,” Adam Levine commented, “But you did it well."

"I didn’t know you were gonna do that,” Shelton added. “I think you just bought yourself a a ticket to the lives from here on out."
