2012 ACM Award for Album of the Year – Kenny Chesney’s ‘Hemingway’s Whiskey’

Kenny Chesey is a little like NASCAR's Jimmie Johnson in that he is so consistent, one often forgets about him. 'Hemingway's Whiskey' is another near-platinum effort, turning in four No. 1's and a fifth single that is nominated for just about every award a country song is eligible for ('You and Tequila').

This album will win if: Voters choose familiar. There are four very different styles represented amongst the other four nominees. Chesney is Mr. Reliable, offering a similar brand with each new album. A win for Chesney would indicate some reluctance toward the future of country music.
