The EaglesDon Henley has announced the impending release of his first solo record in 15 years, Cass County, and fans can stream the album now via NPR’s First Listen series. The album will be available to stream on NPR’s website through Sept. 25, when it officially drops.

Cass County brings on a host of famous voices for guest appearances, including Martina McBride, Merle Haggard, Alison Krauss, Vince Gill, Miranda Lambert and even Dolly Parton, with whom Henley has already released a music video. The duet is called “When I Stop Dreaming,” and fans can view the official video here.

The album is named for the Northeastern Texas county where Henley grew up.

"I was born and raised in Texas. I'm a Southerner and a Texan. So this is a natural progression for me. It's who I am and where I come from,” he says.

The record, which Rolling Stone called “quietly defiant pure-country modernism,” will be available digitally and on physical copies in a standard 12-track version or a deluxe 16-track version. The extended version will also be available on vinyl. For die-hard fans, Henley is also offering a “super deluxe” version, which will come with a 50-page booklet with exclusive photos, a deluxe CD, a two-disc vinyl set and collector postcards, available via Henley’s online store. Digital pre-orders will come with instant downloads of the Parton duet, “When I Stop Dreaming,” as well as four other tracks.

Henley is also launching a tour in support of the record, which will begin Oct. 3 in Phoenix, Ariz. and feature singer/songwriter Shawn Colvin as the opener. A full list of dates is below.
