2003 American Music Awards

Faith Hill was at the peak of her crossover success by 2003, when she picked up a Grammy Award for 'Cry,' a song that only enjoyed moderate success on country radio. As her hair grew longer, the country girl came back, too. There may have been a practical purpose for keeping short hair at this time, as well. She had three kids under the age of six, and as any mother will tell you there is no time to blowdry and style long locks with that many hungry mouths to feed.
