Real Name: Hiram King Williams

The Godfather of country music took on a nickname to replace his ethnic sounding first name. King Williams would have been a nice fit, although it would have been mighty presumptuous for a teenager to introduce himself as "King." His son uses a stage name, too. Hank Williams Jr. was born Randall Hank Williams.
