Today, Feb. 28, Jason Aldean celebrates his 34th birthday, and boy does he ever! The same day, his latest single, 'Don't You Wanna Stay' -- a duet with Kelly Clarkson -- reaches the top spot on Billboard's Country Singles chart. This marks the sixth time in his career that Aldean has charted a No. 1 single.

'Don't You Wanna Stay' is the second release off of his platinum-selling album 'My Kinda Party,' which was released in November. The single also continues to hold strong at the No. 1 position on iTunes' Top 10 Country Songs chart, giving the singer extra reason to celebrate turning another year older.

"It’s a pretty killer birthday present, that’s for sure! My family and friends are going to have to work very, very hard to beat what country radio and the fans have already given me today," Aldean says, laughing. "On a serious note, I am really proud of this song. Anybody who says they wouldn’t be nervous to try and go note for note with a vocalist like Kelly Clarkson is straight up lying to you! So, I do feel a huge sense of accomplishment to have pulled it off in the studio and on live TV with her, and then for everyone else to have responded to it the way they did ... it’s just incredible, and you never take those things for granted."

Aldean hits the road this weekend for another string of sold-out shows in Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio on his headlining My Kinda Party Tour with special guests Eric Church and the JaneDear girls. For a complete list of dates where the tour will be stopping, click here.
