Kellie Pickler vs. Kacey Musgraves – Hottest Country Star of 2013, Round 1

Kellie Pickler fans will tell you she released the best song of 2013, but Kacey Musgraves' faithful might say the same. Neither had a huge year on the country charts, but both of these Hottest Country Star of 2013 competitors made a splash in different ways. So, who had the better year? 

Pickler released 'Someone Somewhere Tonight' and 'Little Big Gypsy' from her upcoming 'The Woman I Am' album. The video to the ballad featured her 'Dancing With the Stars' partner Derek Hough. The two won the competition in May, and left fans of the show with one of the more breathtaking performances of all time.

Musgraves is one of the year's most inspiring newcomers. The 'Follow Your Arrow' and 'Merry Go 'Round' singer is known for her casual delivery of powerful songs. She's also one of the top songwriters in Nashville, having co-written 'Mama's Broken Heart' for Miranda Lambert.
