Leighton Meester shares the big screen with Tim McGraw, Gwyneth Paltrow and Garrett Hedlund in the upcoming flick 'Country Strong' playing Chiles Stanton -- a beauty queen-turned-country singer who has an on-screen romance with Hedlund's character. So, what does Meester think of the real-life country crooner Tim McGraw?
"He's a prankster, a flirt," she tells Allure. "He'll make up a little song about you. He's got a devious twinkle in his eye."
Flirtations aside, McGraw's been quite a musical influence on the actress. Alongside Paltrow, he gave Meester a guitar as a gift once they wrapped up filming. The guitar now travels with Meester everywhere, and she has been writing more acoustic-laden songs. "The stuff I'm doing now is a little more complementary to my heart and my vibe," she says, a far cry from her debut single, the electro-pop 'Somebody to Love' featuring R&B singer Robin Thicke.
'Country Strong' premiered in Nashville and Los Angeles Dec. 22; the film opens nationwide Jan. 7.
