Lady Antebellum might have won Group of the Year at the 2012 American Country Awards, but Little Big Town actually owned the night when it came to performing onstage. The group turned in a top-notch rendition of their current single 'Tornado' that stood head and shoulders above most of the night's performances.

The title track from the group's current album is a sharp contrast to the good-time feel of 'Pontoon,' which preceded it at radio. With a decidedly darker tone, 'Tornado' not only set the group apart from the rest of the night's mostly uptempo, fun material, but it also made great use of a cool, wind-swept set design.

Oh yeah -- then there's also the fact that the members of Little Big Town also delivered the evening's best vocal performance, which is no mean feat when you're working with such a notoriously dodgy production. If this is what they sound like in this setting, we can't wait to hear what they're going to do on their upcoming 2013 Tornado Tour, which kicks off on Jan. 31 in Murray, Kentucky.
