Rodney Atkins Sets Release Date for New Album ‘Take a Back Road’

The release date has been set for Rodney Atkins' forthcoming album, 'Take a Back Road.' The new collection of songs marks Adkins' fourth studio album, and it will arrive in stores on Tuesday, October 4. The album's lead single and title track, 'Take a Back Road,' continues to climb the Top 10, and has become the fastest-rising singe to date of Atkins' career.

The new album has been in the works for the past several months, and is compiled of songs filled with Adkins' familiar sounds and styles that his fans have grown to love from him over the years.

"I have put a lot of time into the recording of this album," says Atkins in a press statement. "[I] am excited to say I think it is progressive and representative of who and where I am today. We are thrilled with the reaction of 'Take a Back Road'."

Atkins is currently shooting his 'Origin' documentary which will air on GAC later this year. The singer will also be shooting his new music video for 'Take a Back Road' in the coming weeks.
