Sam Hunt is engaged to longtime, off-and-on girlfriend Hannah Lee Fowler.

Rumors of Hunt settling down with Fowler have been circulating for months, fueled by mysterious photos of the dark-haired woman on his Instagram account. Last month a photo surfaced from a fan account showing the couple with others from Hunt's band and inner circle. Some thought a ring on Fowler's finger meant they were engaged.

Sounds Like Nashville credits a source from Hunt's team in reporting the couple are indeed engaged and People also confirmed the news. It's not clear when they became engaged, or when the wedding is scheduled. The news comes one day after the Grammy-nominated singer released a song called "Drinkin' Too Much" in which he apologies to Fowler by name.

“I’m sorry I named the album Montevallo / I’m sorry people know your name now and strangers hit you up on social media / I’m sorry you can’t listen to the radio," he sings. "I know you want your privacy / You’ve got nothing to say to me / But I wish you’d let me pay off your student loans with these songs you gave to me.”

Little is known about Fowler, other than she's inspired many of the 2017 Taste of Country Music Festival headliner's best songs. Their relationship began before he became famous by writing songs like Keith Urban's "Cop Car" and recording songs like "Leave the Night On" from his break out Montevallo album. Last fall he told Taste of Country and other media that his next album would be even more personal, with even more songs coming from his personal life.

Taste of Country has reached out to several members of Hunt's team for comment.
